RDC Design Group collaborated with MixWave to create highly detailed 3D product renderings for their new audio plugin, based on the real-life Milkman audio gear.

This project aimed to provide MixWave with realistic and interactive visual representations of the Milkman products within their software, enhancing the user experience and bridging the gap between physical and digital audio equipment.

Scope of Work:

  • Product Line Renderings: RDC Design Group built the Milkman Whole Milk and Reverb amplifiers, a Milkman speaker cabinet, and two effect pedals (High Headroom and Echo Slap) to exact specifications in 3D.
  • Interactive Animations: To elevate the functionality and user engagement, interactive animations were created for the knobs and power switches on the amplifiers and pedals. This allowed users to interact with the digital versions of the equipment as they would with the physical products.

Innovative Solutions and Impact:

One of the standout aspects of this project was the subsequent addition of the Loud Is More amplifier to the software after the initial plugin release.

The Loud Is More amplifier shared a similar design with the Whole Milk amplifier, with differences only in the print graphics and knobs. Utilizing the existing 3D models, RDC Design Group made the necessary adjustments and re-rendered the specific components, completing the new addition efficiently.

Project Description

The objective of this project was to create a realistic and visually appealing 3D product rendering of Nectar Sunglasses, focusing on accentuating the shape of the frames and showcasing the materials, brown lenses, and a tortoiseshell pattern.

In the Nectar Sunglasses 3D rendering project, our team aimed to create a high-quality representation of the sunglasses, paying close attention to lighting, materials, and details. The primary focus was to enhance the shape of the frames, ensuring they stood out in a visually captivating manner.

To achieve this, we set up the lighting, strategically placing it to accentuate the contours and curves of the sunglasses. This careful lighting setup added depth and dimension to the rendering, making the frames visually striking.

In terms of materials, we utilized VRay to create sophisticated textures that showcased the brown lenses. Our approach allowed just enough opacity so that the back leg of the sunglasses could be seen through the lenses, adding an extra touch of realism.

Furthermore, we dedicated time to creating a highly realistic tortoise shell material. Through attention to detail, we successfully replicated the look and texture of the tortoiseshell, bringing authenticity to the rendering.

Additionally, we modeled and incorporated the Nectar Sunglasses logo into the 3D rendering. This added a touch of elegance and brand identity to the overall visual presentation.
