Project Overview

RDC had the privilege of designing and developing the global website for the International Furnishings and Design Association (IFDA), a project that encompassed every stage of the process—from initial planning and wireframing to design, development, testing, and launch. This website serves as the principal online hub for IFDA’s global presence, connecting the organization’s local chapters, including those based in America and Japan.

One of the key features of the website was the implementation of chapter profiles. Each chapter was provided with its individual login credentials, enabling them to independently manage their profiles, sponsors, events calendar, and other information. These customizable solutions empower local chapters to stay up-to-date while ensuring seamless coordination across the entire organization.

We also seamlessly integrated the website with IFDA’s member database to build a secure, user-friendly backend for their members. Through this portal, members can maintain their personal profiles, upload contact information and logos, and enjoy access to exclusive member benefits, discounts, and resources. A significant challenge—managing membership statuses—was addressed by integrating a system that tracks payment updates. An internal IFDA spreadsheet is uploaded directly to the site, automatically verifying memberships and granting or restricting access based on status. Members are given a 90-day grace period to bring their accounts into good standing to ensure fairness and continuity.

Accessibility was also a priority for this global organization. To cater to IFDA’s diverse, international audience, we incorporated a language translation tool. This feature enables users to select their preferred language, making all site content available to a wider audience with ease.

The result is a dynamic, scalable, and functional website that enhances IFDA’s global operations while supporting individual chapters and members. By combining innovative technology with user-centric design, this platform now offers a streamlined experience for everyone involved.

Through a harmonious blend of colors, symbols, and versatile design elements, the NuSvara logo sets the stage for a brand that is both memorable and meaningful.

Color Palette: At the heart of the NuSvara logo lies a vibrant color palette that embodies vitality and versatility. The fusion of blue, green, and gray hues reflects the brand’s multifaceted identity, striking a balance between professionalism, creativity, and innovation. The tranquil blues evoke a sense of trust and reliability, while the refreshing greens symbolize growth and vitality. Complemented by subtle touches of gray, the color palette resonates with NuSvara’s commitment to fostering meaningful connections in an ever-evolving digital landscape.

Iconography: Central to the NuSvara logo is the incorporation of two distinct yet complementary symbols: the chat bubble and the exclamation mark. The chat bubble serves as a visual representation of dynamic conversation and open communication, echoing NuSvara’s mission to facilitate engaging interactions. Meanwhile, the exclamation mark adds a sense of playfulness, urgency, and impact, underscoring the brand’s commitment to delivering meaningful digital insights and solutions.

Versatility: Recognizing the importance of adaptability in today’s fast-paced world, the NuSvara logo was designed with versatility in mind. Beyond its full iteration, the logo seamlessly transitions into a smaller stand-alone icon for various applications such as profile pictures and social media avatars. Project Description:

In the competitive world of audio plugins and music software, visual appeal and user experience play a pivotal role. MixWave, an industry leader in audio plugins and music software, partnered with Benson to release the Chimera and Tall Bird models as audio plugins. To ensure that the user interface (UI) of these plugins matched the high-quality audio experience, MixWave once again trusted their long-time partner RDC Design Group to create stunning photorealistic 3D renderings.

Objectives
The primary objectives of this collaboration were threefold: to develop lifelike 3D models of the Benson product line for integration into the MixWave UI, to create interactive animations for usable elements like knobs, switches, and lights to improve the user experience, and to ensure the visual aesthetics aligned with MixWave’s reputation for high-quality products.

Project Scope
RDC Design Group’s task encompassed both static and animated visual elements for the MixWave UI. This included modeling and texturing the Benson Chimera, Benson Tall Bird, Benson Studio Tall Bird, Benson 2×12 bass cabinet, and three foot pedals. Additionally, RDC created interactive animations featuring realistic movement for knobs and switches, along with lighting effects to show operational states (on/off).

Process and Execution
The project began with initial consultations and planning sessions, where detailed discussions with MixWave helped understand the functionality and aesthetic requirements.

Using industry leading 3D modeling software, RDC crafted each piece of equipment, applying texturing to enhance realism by accurately replicating materials and finishes. The development of animations followed, where interactive elements were animated to allow users to interact seamlessly with the UI. These animations included turning knobs, flipping switches, and realistic lighting transitions.

Integration and testing were crucial steps in the process. The 3D models and animations were integrated into MixWave’s software, and extensive testing ensured that all interactive features worked flawlessly, enhancing the overall user experience.

Outcome
The collaboration between RDC Design Group and MixWave culminated in a visually stunning and highly functional user interface for the Benson product line.
